About

Lauryn finds joy as an Artist, practices as a Registered Massage Therapist and teaches various styles of yoga classes on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.

Lauryn's love for painting began at the young age of seven, when she was enrolled in watercolour classes by her Mum. She has continued exploring various mediums throughout her life, eventually leading her into the world of acrylics. Inspiration for her art is drawn from travels both locally through kayak expeditions and alpine hikes around Vancouver Island. And internationally, travelling through the mountains of Nepal and the streets of South East Asia and Cuba. Her art blends the line between abstract and realistic, creating a dialogue on canvas to explore the tension between what we see and what we feel.

She also graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. She was drawn to the practice of massage therapy out of a passion for expanding her knowledge from more than two decades of yoga therapy trainings and an innate desire to help others. Considering herself a life-long learner, she is a strong advocate for patient education and awareness; she believes seeking wellness is a journey that carries us throughout our lifetime.

Throughout this time, she has built a genuine appreciation for the practice of movement therapy in all it’s forms. She is certified in RYT-300, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Bikram Yoga. Her yoga guiding style is said to be playful, alignment-based and grounding. Some of her favourite classes have been taught abroad in South East Asia, New Zealand and USA.

In her spare time, you can find her practicing yoga, hiking nearby mountain trails with her rescue dog, Joey, and painting all of her adventures.
